Since I can't submit a proposal, I'll just have to create a discussion.

There seems to be a lot of anger around the KIP-9 rate reduction. The people voting YES are a simple majority, but certainly not a super majority, which is often required for major changes. The people voting NO understand that the rate needs to be reduced, but they want more time. Most are asking for a more gradual reduction, over 3 months.

Why not put forth a proposal with some middle ground? Instead of dropping the rate on January 27th, how about putting forth a proposal that pushes the date back 1 month? Same proposal, just push it back a few weeks. It'll give people more time to plan, more time to review Klima Infinity, more time to assess their long term holdings, etc. And, I think you would get a lot more YES votes, mine included.

Thanks.

Car54 I couldn’t agree more. A little slower change process allows everyone to analyze and plan for the impacts more effectively. Let’s take the short-term emotional analysis out of the equation so everyone can focus on the long term benefits for the project. Good suggestion 👍
